Data migration to CRM

Hello guys,

Happy Easter! 🐣Any of you can recommend a good approach for the data migration from other CRMs ( in this case Pipedrive) to a monday one?

For instance, if the contacts are uploaded and then afterward the organisations, there is no link between them. In case of a bigger number it is too manual to connect them one by one.

Hi Nevena,

I think you hit one of the main pain points when migrating data from other CRM systems. What I have done so far.

  • Export data from existing CRM ( account + contacts ) in one file
  • Import the file with Account + contacts as lead
  • Mark all leads, and qualify them, then automation is taking care of the relationship

Pro

  • Everything is correct after automation is done

Cons

  • Large customer base, will use a lot of current month automation 
  • You should never do this in a Pro installation

 

A better solution is to create a “standard” import solution which also cleans data while importing, ex through Make.
